NOTICE OF SPECIAL BUSINESS MEETING & AGENDA

The Fire Board of the Buckeye Valley Fire District will meet in a special session on May 12th, 2020 at 6:00 PM, the meeting will be held at Administration Office, 6213 S. Miller Rd, Ste 112, Buckeye AZ 85326. All or part of the Board is expected to appear by telephone and can be heard by the attending public by speaker. The Board may vote to hold an executive session for the purpose of obtaining legal advice from the Fire District’s Law Firm or provide direction to its staff on any matter listed on the agenda, pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(3). The following topics and any variables thereto, will be subject to Board consideration, discussion, approval, or other action. All items are set for possible action.

This is the time for the public to comment. Members of the Board may not discuss items that are not specifically identified on the agenda. Therefore, pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.01 (H), action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing Staff to study the matter, responding to any criticism or scheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date.


6. VOTE TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION

The Board may vote to hold an executive session, for the purpose of obtaining legal advice from the Fire District’s Legal Counsel, to provide direction to its staff on confidential matters subject to litigation or discuss matters pertaining to personnel matters, pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03.

7. NEW BUSINESS

a. Discussion and possible action to accept the resignation of Deron Miller from the Buckeye Valley Fire District Board.

b. Discussion and possible action to appoint a new Chairperson for the Buckeye Valley Fire District Board.

Comments, commendations, report on current events and presentations by Fire Board Chairman, Fire Board Members, Leadership Team or members of the public. The Fire Board may not propose, discuss, deliberate or take any legal action on the information presented pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02.
