NOTICE OF REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING & AGENDA

The Fire Board of the Buckeye Valley Fire District will meet in a regular session on August 27th, 2019 at 6:00 PM, the meeting will be held at Fire Station 324, 25206 W US Hwy 85, Buckeye AZ 85326. The Board may vote to hold an executive session for the purpose of obtaining legal advice from the Fire District’s Law Firm or provide direction to its staff on any matter listed on the agenda, pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3). The following topics and any variables thereto, will be subject to Board consideration, discussion, approval, or other action. All items are set for possible action.

Therefore, pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-43.1.01 (H), action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing Staff to study the matter, responding to any criticism or scheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date.

8. VOTE TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION

The Board may vote to hold an executive session, for the purpose of obtaining legal advice from the Fire District’s Legal Counsel, to provide direction to its staff on confidential matters subject to litigation or discuss matters pertaining to personnel matters, pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03.

a. Discuss and receive legal advice regarding the recruitment of the position of Buckeye Valley Fire Chief.

a. Discussion and possible action to approve Murel Stephens to one of the Appointed Positions on the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System Board.

c. Discussion and possible action to approve the surplus of the 1999 Pierce commercial cab pumper, VIN #1FV6JLCBXXH985429.

d. Discussion and possible action to approve a bid proposal for tenant improvements for the new Administration office on Miller.

e. Discussion and possible action to approve the Human Resource Consultant to work on the hiring of the Buckeye Valley Fire Chief.

f. Discussion and possible action to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement Between Buckeye Valley Fire District And The City Of Buckeye For City Fueling Agreement.

g. Discussion and possible action to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement For Battalion Chief Response Services Between The Buckeye Valley Fire District And The Arizona Fire & Medical Authority.
